Terry Went Bush

Terry went for an adventure the other day. Because my neck still isn't 100% I didn't ride to work this week at all, I'm trying to get it better for riding this weekend, so Terry decided to ride his bike out to a property where he had to measure up a job. He was going bush, and I was worried about him on dirt roads but he promised to be good and take it easy and he even took photos for me!

The views from this property are truly amazing.

He found lots of dirt, but assured me that it wasn't quite as scary as it looks, 'cept the time the car was coming the other way and he had to pull off the road. Gave him the opportunity to take more pics for me though :)

Although the thought of riding on that scares me, I'm a bit jealous that he got to go visit this lovely place, I might even be convinced to go with him next time he has to go out there .. just maybe not on the bike.

This is the old stable that is going to be converted ... it's such a great little building with so much character.

I'm terribly impressed with the pics .. even though they are really only pics he took to remind him of what the place looked like while he's drawing plans .. he took some that turned out very arty.

  1. Very artsy photos. Good job Terry. On the pics and the bush roads.

Hubby tells me cruisers are better on those types of roads than sport bikes or some standard bikes as the cruisers have the low center of gravity. He used to take his Triumph America on gravel all the time - sometimes with me on the back too.

    1. Terry said ta Brandy :)

His bike while it's still called a Shadow apparently is not really a cruiser style, it has more hight and thinner wheels and you sit on it like you would a standard bike rather than the cruiser style. Dunno how that changes things but did admit to me that he was sliding all over the place specially on the road that had the red dirt, it was almost sand in places.

Wow that would have been exciting for you Brandy :)

  2. Very cool! Hope your neck is feeling better pretty soon! I am not a big fan of dirt/gravel roads on my cruiser, makes me feel a bit squiffy.

The neck is nearly better, I'm thinking a ride on the weekend is beckoning :)

  3. I am impressed that Terry rides these roads on his cruiser. My sportster acts very awkward on gravel, while my Vespa scooter thinks it is a blast.
Love the black and white picture!

    1. I reckon riding these roads on any bike other than a bike made for dirt is well a tad crazy, but he promised me he would stop if he felt he was in danger and I trust him to be sensible. His bike is actually closer to your Sporster than to my cruiser so you probably have more of an idea of what he felt on those roads than I do.

I dont remember ever taking my scooter on gravel.

Oh I wanna take some credit for that pic .. I made it black and white ;D But Terry did take it .. it looks like a great little building actually.

    1. Eek and I'm really late responding Suzu. Doesn't matter, we'll both get there in the end eh :)

The neck is a bit better, I'm not sure what I'm doing but something is aggravating it, thanks tho :) Haven't been for a ride really cause we've both been to busy and the last adventure called for a car cause it was just too rushed a trip on too bad a road for the bikes (check out my latest post for more info)

I really do need to get out for a couple of rides tho, I got the seat modified last week and wanna check it out on a long trip.
