Watch this space in the next week I should have managed to catch some of them doing what they do best.

Three sandwiches because we were hungry and expecting a sit down hot meal. It looked like a very relaxing day and your roads looked empty. Some days riding just seems perfect. Everything feels right, and you are one with your bike and it looks like that was the day for you.

I have to ask, why 3 sandwiches ? were you that hungry ? and NO sandwich photos ?

bob
Riding the Wet Coast
My Flickr // My YouTube

Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05258612401956399482noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5078765543853720407.post-23905158366846393712012-08-13T21:17:15.459+10:002012-08-13T21:17:15.459+10:00Thanks Dar,

Yeah I've seen some nasty damage from kangaroos, hope I'm not jinxing myself but I havent hit one myself, I am always on the look out for them though and we try not to ride at down or dusk when they are most active.

I loved that photo through the arbour to, and more bike rambles are definately on the books.Brendahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06395364582355269753noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5078765543853720407.post-19489771548611189182012-08-13T21:13:17.939+10:002012-08-13T21:13:17.939+10:00Sanja yeah it is winter trust me. Yes we have some flowers blooming, the early Wattle is out, I must remember to get some pics of them next trip, they line the road in huge clumps of bright yellow. I guess it looks so green because the trees round here dont lose thier leaves in winter, but yes the grass is green and that's unusual because normally the grass is brown and the only contrasting color is the red dirt.

Yeah I know I needed to post a pic of the Galah, and I will as soon as they come to visit, I'm sure they know I'm waiting camera in hand. They are the most amazing pink birds so yes if someone likes pink then they will love Galahs, but if they like watching silly then they will also like Galahs :DBrendahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06395364582355269753noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5078765543853720407.post-2775598165378636992012-08-13T21:08:41.707+10:002012-08-13T21:08:41.707+10:00Thanks Shy, your was too kind :D

Of course now that I want to take a pic of them they are nowhere to be found, there are normally a few dozen of them on the power line outside our house most afternoons.

Brendahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06395364582355269753noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5078765543853720407.post-84691261648381674492012-08-13T15:35:08.975+10:002012-08-13T15:35:08.975+10:00Brenda

I love that feeling when you are taking the perfect line, the perfecto corner and everything seems fluid and easy. Those are the moments I live for and it makes you fall in love with it all over again, but every once in awhile there are the days when nothing is gelling and you just want to park and get off. Thankfully my zen days outnumber the less than stellar days. I wish our winters were like yours! I am dreading the rain and cold and long winter of commuting.

Galah sounds very intriguing. The closest thing to hitting a kangaroo would be a racoon or deer here, which I hope to never do. I think hitting a kangaroo would be a rather nasty affair.

Your pictures are absolutely stunning, I think the one of the arbor is my favorite. Simply beautiful. I hope you get out for more bike rambles and they are just as enjoyable. The garden is nice.

Next time please post a picture of a galah. There might be people out there in the WWW that have never seen one (hey, we have bears and moose but no galah...) Also, people might have a thing for pink stuff or for birds, or for pink birds...SonjaMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12389245948579828531noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5078765543853720407.post-58979250809708336492012-08-13T08:45:19.922+10:002012-08-13T08:45:19.922+10:00What a terrific travel story! Perfect prose.

And the exotic locale is entertaining. I've never heard of a Galah before or even seen the word. And the only way I could hit a kangaroo would be to ride through a zoo. :)Shybikerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15263331247319768989noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5078765543853720407.post-23739774126751929182012-08-13T07:15:22.159+10:002012-08-13T07:15:22.159+10:00I am glad you had such a great ride even if you ar...I am glad you had such a great ride even if you are a little sore. I find my shoulders and sometimes my arms are sore after fighting the wind or even just a long ride.

Great pictures. I haven't seen canola fields since we left Canada so that was a treat for me.

Thanks for the Galah education too. I had to google them as I never heard of them. Turns out to be a cockatoo, that I know. Such a neat color though.Trobairitzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03453398807198746434noreply@blogger.com
